My ds is 26 months and nursing on the average 3 times a day. Lately I feel a little tenderness when he nurses. It's not an infection but, kinda the same kind of pain. Do you become tender once you begin to not nurse as often? I've noticable shunk in size as well recently.

My dd is 22 months and nurses about twice a day. She is definitely rougher when she nurses. Her older sister nursed for three years, but she was much gentler overall.

Could you be pregnant? Could it be b/c your milk supply is less and it "tugs" more?

ugh! I'm not. My dh had a vasectomy.....I am on my cycle now...maybe that's it! Yes, I hope it goes away. I'm not ready for weaning yet and I'm sure he isn't either.
