Here are my goals and to-do list for the upcoming week:
~cut and organize coupons from Sunday paper and incorporate into my binder.DONE
~make menu plan for this week (using as much from our freezer and pantry as possible); DONE
~stay on top of housework (particularly the laundry!) DONE!
~get remaining items for this week at the grocery store. DONE-spent about $120
~clean our house....clean house helps keep me "on track" and prevents me from going out to eat just to get out! LOL!
~clean all 3 bathrooms
~mop kitchen floor DONE
~vacuum DONE
~dust
~strip and wash all sheets DONE
~no eating out
~fill van, car, and our gas can (for lawnmower, etc) with gas today (even though they each have between 1/2 and 1/3 of a tank left)....gas dropped to $2.67 today locally, so we're going to fill up in case pending hurricanes in the Gulf affect gas prices next week. DONE
~limit travel/gas usage as much as possible (the kids do have activities on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday of this week though).Wow...We did really well at this for this week....even counting a few things I have to do tomorrow, we will have traveled under 150 miles this week (1/2 tank of gas)....which when you take into consideration that it's a 20 mile trip (roundtrip) to the nearest town/shopping, that's pretty good....we stayed home on Monday and Friday of this week--no miles. On Tuesday and Wed, my kids had activities which were a little bit of a hike from home, so that's where most of our miles came from!).
~recycle bag of empty ink cartridges
~call to inquire about Angel Food ministry at local church for September.DONE
~return library books (wasn't able to renew a few online and I don't want to incur late fees if I don't return them by the 30th!)DONE
~finish lesson plans for the upcoming school week. DONE
~make muffins for dh (Sunday night) DONE
~make homemade granola bars (probably on Thursday);
~make homemade pumpkin bread for dh (probably on Monday) DONE
~make homemade yogurt DONE
~clean out linen closet and get rid of extra items. DONE-got rid of one large bag of items
~continue decluttering....at least one grocery size bag each day!
~cleaned off the top of the refrigerator on Monday, plus 2 cabinets of kitchen "gadgets"....got rid of a lot! DONE
~took 1 large bag to the thrift store, plus passed two smaller bags onto friends for their children. DONE
~work on my mom's resume for her (her store is going out of business and she'll be looking for a new job in October).DONE
~list items FSOT...I have homeschooling stuff, kitchen stuff, dance shoes, etc. done!
