I already make a different style cape, but really like the circle capes. I can't figure out how to measure out the circle, ugg! Can someone explain to me how to do the measurements for the neck and circle? Also, I wrote a seperate post about bias tape, but I'm having trouble trying to figure out how to do that around the neck and bottom. Pictures of how to do this would really help me out, please, please!!:eyes:

Barically you cut it ot the same way you would cut a circle skirt. The trick is not in the cutting but i the folding actually. You want to get it folded so that you can just use your measuring tape as a compass and cut a curve. The second half of this has a good "how to fold" bit. Ignore the thing about arm slits.

Alternately you can cut in out in pieces to attempt to conserve fabric-- since a full circle cape is a TON of fabric. This looks like a good tutorial on circle drafting http://www.seamlyne.com/design/costume/circledrafting.asp
