I'm totally confused how to sew on bias tape!! I need help, anyone? How do I put it on, pin it and then sew or what? Thanks!

Someone taught me that you open it up so that the raw edge of the fabric nestles right into the fold, then pin it on. Then, you sew it - with the flap open in the front - just tacking down the raw fabric to the back that has the bias tape on it. After the back is attached, fold down the front and sew on top of that neatly :)

That way you can be sure you 'catch' the fabric within the bias tape.

I hated the stuff until I learned how to use it - now I LOVE it!

After I sew up the whole thing do I removed the tacking, or do I have two lines of sewing?:help: I'm so dense:eyes: This does seem easier! I think I finally "get it"!! Thanks!

You'll have two lines on the inside back of the garment, and one line on the outside. (Because you sew it down on the back, then fold the tape over the top and sew it again). :)

Make any sense?
