Well, we had a follow up appt this morning. The left eye is more noticably straying outward when she looks at a distance or is tired. The eye exam showed that the prescription would be so low it wouldn;t help. the only recommendtion at this point is eye exercises and most likely surgery later on:( I was hoping for glasses and no surgery. I can't say I'm not disappointed and a bit worried.

so sorry! CAn she wear a patch on her stronger eye to help the weak eye work more and only wear glasses when really needed? Two of our neighbors are going htis route right now and it seems to be helping.

Believe me, I asked about every alternative to surgery:) The reason she can't wear the patch is that they want her eyes to work together, so the suggestion was close up focusing with both eyes. When she focuses far off the left eye drifts. Hopefully the muscle will strengthen with the exercises:)
