That this is the forum that I need to hang out at. I really need some help financially.

I am hoping in posting here that some can help get our finances back on track and give me some advice as to how best proceed..

Here is my info: What is your advice.

I have about 20,000 dollars worth of cc debit. It is most utlitiliy bills and food and gas, and moving expense from the last 3 years. Each time that my dh gets sick and cannot work, last year he had to have emergency surgery, and was injured on the job. So I would just use the cc to pay what needed to be paid.

Well now it is catching up to me, as most of the time I am paying my cc and not my utilities. I have tried cutting down on our food bill, and am trying to save money on the utilites. I have even been turning off the air conditioner, and just turn on at night when we need to sleep..I have switch to mostly bulk foods, simply means, sometimes even just noodles and sauce.

Different people tell me to do different things, and I cannot sort out which really is the best for us. Some say to just keep paying my bills as I am able, and others say to do a debt solutions or consolidation. Do you know what the down falls are to them.

I just recently tried to get a loan for a car, because I have been driving my van which has something go wrong with it each week, and currently has not reverse. I tried to get a loan with my bank and they denied me because when they pull my credit report, I had to collection notices on it. ONe I knew, was an old gas bill, and the other one is medical bill that should of never went there, as all the others were cover by my insurance. Now I am trying to get that one medical one off, and they say that they will take it off as soon as insurance company pays it. They didnt summit it correctly the first time. The other I dont know what to do. Should I just charge it and get it off.? Will that make a difference now that it is on my report?

I talked with a lady about debt solutions she told me that my credit is ruin now and I should just go with the debt solutions and not pay anything anymore and just pay a percentage back? has anyone ever done this before and what was your expereince? I need help that is all that i know, so what is your advice?

thank if you made it this far, hope some one has someting to tell me..
evemary feeling kinda desperatet today!

In my experience, the problem with debt solutions or similar is that they look worse on your credit report than even a bankruptcy. We were using one when we applied for our mortgage. We had to back out of the debt service before we could get a mortgage, and we got a really lousy rate.

Maybe someone else has better info for you.
