This will be our first year homeshcooling my dd (9) and I have most of our curriculum. For history, I bought the Story of the World Ancient History, just because I thought we should start at the begining and I liked that it was story not a text. Will this be to young for her to continue with for the following volumes, as it says it recommends up until 4th grade?

I have just recently found winterpromise and am really liking their curriculum and am thinking this will suite her better and then we can follow with Middle ages, etc? HOwever the $$ may be an issue too?

I guess my question is which do you think is better for a 9year old, Story of the World or Winterpromise?

If it was me I'd go with Winterpromise. It's looks like so much fun, and really hands on. I thought SOTW was boring, unless you added extra fun stuff in.

Yes, that is the way I am leaning. Now, I just need to go sell the pervious things I bought to help dollarwise
