My oldest son and I saw this at the theater and now we have it from netflix. We are HUGE Tyler Perry fans. We own all of his plays and all of his movies except for Family Reunion which I haven't purchased yet (keep forgetting when I'm at the store). It doesn't matter how many times I watch his plays/movies I laugh so hard. Some scenes are so hilarious I have to replay them over and over. I love Medea's character. Tyler Perry plays himself in the movies as well as Medea and Joe. (he created the Joe character first and then Medea). Perry is a christian and this comes through in every movie/play... which I really love and appreciate.

Family Reunion has a few scenes where Medea is being physical when disciplining a couple of kids. It's a comedy and all the scenes are hilarious but I'm giving a warning incase you are sensitive to scenes of this nature. For example.. she wallops a kid on the school bus who was bullying her foster child. I was actually hoping she would smack him around a bit more lol

but anyway. We love his movies and recommend them as well as his plays.

I too am a big Tyler Perry fan and so is my daughter. We howl with laughter at his plays (which we recieved as a gift) When my daughter asked why are the plays different from the movies, I just say Hollywood baby.

He has a new play out about Madea in jail. I wish I lived near enough to see that but I look forward to the release of the play version.

I ABSOLUTE LOVE his work. He is talented and has a brilliant way of approaching difficult subjects as a writer and director and oh Lord he is funny as an actor.
