Just brainstorming some more here! I was thinking last night ofwhat else DS and I could do with this exchange and here is what I came up with. These are to be done once we have all of the postcards and some of my ideas might not work too well for his age but they might be good for your kiddos.

-alphabetize the cards by state/country
-if populations are given, numerical order by population
-graph populations even locations (Percentage of cards from the east, west, etc...)
-transfer cards into an album or scrapbook
-have DS practice handwriting by copying the info from the back of the card to paper so that it reinforces the info and so that we can still read it once we paste the card to the paper
-map work
-look up the distances to each place from our home
-learn how to locate the cities/countries using the computer, atlas, etc....
