I know this is probably a 'dumb' question, but I am new to curri...is the 3 the same as a 3rd grade level?

It's a 3rd gradish level. My 3rd grader was doing fine with it, but it was a bit more jumpy than he needed as far as the grammar terms go. He needs more repetition in the terms.
