And FYI, they had a great mermaid fabric on the calico wall. I was going to get it, but then I found this one, and picked it b/c I didn't feel like fussy cutting. But I thought the mermaids were great. They were in the blues section, if anyone goes looking for them. :)

It's kind of a stripe, there's a stripe of mermaids all side by side, a stripe of starfish, and the starfish is what was on the side edge of the bolt that was facing out. It looked a bit like cartoonish stars, but it caught my 3y/o's eye and he brought it to me. I can go back and take pics today if you'd like. It would involve some serious fussy cutting to get mermaids on each square, which is why I picked the turtles/fish fabric in the end.

Cool! SO I'll send the mermaids and shells for me and cut and send the stars for you! They're really cute. They're the coordinate to the mermaids. You can paypal me whenever (no hurry) to purple5262 @ aol . com (no spaces). And send me your address and I can mail you whatever is left over after the swap.

I found the mermaids at my JA's. They were with the pinks. They also had another mermaid fabric with the blues (turquoise) that had the same mermaids and the starfish in kinda stripes. I think that's the one that was mentioned before.

OH! And with the novelty/licensed cottons they had a really cute "Hello Kitty" in a hula skirt! If I hadn't picked up so much already I would have gotten some of that!

Wow, I'm really glad now that I didn't buy those pink mermaids at JA's when I was there this afternoon. I didn't see them when I was looking for ocean stuff, but today I was looking for pinks, and there they were. :) Glad someone found them, though.

How many squares of each do we send?

30 of each. I *think* it works such that, if we don't have a full 30 participants, that everyone gets duplicates of some of the fabrics. Each person who contributes 30 squares gets 30 back. If you send in 60, you get 60 back, etc.

Can I get another spot? I've got to go shopping, and this would even things out with 15! :)

Okay - I think we've exhausted the mermaids and coordinates. I bought the blue mermaids today - I'm hoping to get mermaid blocks and then stripe blocks. They say something llike "Mermaid in the sea, come and swim with me." I also bought a wave coordinate.
I bought that orange/red shells fabric too - hadn't seen it in the previous post. Could I send it too, or would the duplication be bad?

darn it.. I need one of y'all to do me a favor. I need to get the skn/names/pics if possible of the mermaid fabrics - I went to 3 different JoAnns, and none have it.. but they said they could order me some. Leila is going to have a mermaid room when we move, and I'm thinking curtains, etc.. but I can't find it!
