Second Round of Item Specific Swaps

Here we go :D Same rules/groups as before, unless someone thinks of another group they'd like to see!

Signs Ups until July 21
Groups assigned July 24
Mailing out by August 8

Item Specific Exchanges.


Each item will have groups of 3 or 4 (if there's an odd number, for instance..7 want to participate, there'd be a group of 3 and a group of 4) participants. If there are only two signs ups, I'll ask each person privately if they'd be interested in a person to person swap and go from there.

How it's going to work:
Please don't sign up for more than you can REASONABLY finish. These are going to be in constant rotation, so you can always catch one later if you can't swing it right now.

Sign up for the item(s) you want to exchange. For examples sake, lets use pants.

You will make two pairs of pants (according to your group member's preferences). You will send one to each person. You will recieve two in return (one from each of the other members).

Each exchange will have a 2 week deadline unless otherwise specified. If you think you will NEED more time than that, please EMAIL ME to discuss other arrangements (if there is a number that feel the same, the deadline will change). Email: tknolle@comcast.net

These exchanges are fast in comparison to some of the swaps, but you are only making for 2 others, and, this allows for frequent chances to participate in different swaps

Please reply to this post and list the exchange you want to participate in, your preferences (sizes, colors, diaper measurements if appropriate, other measurements you can supply, gender, do you want characters or none? Holiday prints or none? Just whatever is important to you...allergies, etc etc ) If you have questions before signing up, please email me with them ( tknolle@comcast.net )...I will send out the groups the day or so after sign up deadlines...I will post them in threads specific to each active exchange, it will be YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to contact each person in your group for thier mailing addresses.


If you feel like your swap is not working out, OR if you do not recieve your item within 10 days of the swap deadline (accounting for mailing delays) Please contact me privately...tknolle@comcast.net Please realize that there are different levels of sewing ability in this forum and keep in mind that we only get better with practice, so remember some may be refining their skills But that doesn't mean their packages are less valuable. On the flip side, mamas, don't be discouraged by mamas whose abilities seem 'superior' to your own, we are all valuable sewing mamas and our stuff rocks, each and every ONE of us!! So don't hesitate to participate!!

It sounds WAY more complicated then it actually is LOL...basically it breaks down to this:
You pick the group you would like, you're assigned to a group of three, you make the item (one for each member of the group, aside from yourself) and you get one in return from the other two members.
The swaps are fast, so that we can have them more frequently, and because you're only sewing for two others.

so even though it says, item specific, you can make whatever kind of pants/napkins etc that you want-right?

Right, it just has to be 'pants' or 'napkins', not necessarily 'reversable pants with loops for a belt and cuffed legs' LOLOL...."Item Specific" as opposed to "for the kids" or "for the kitchen" where you can kind of make what you want that falls within a category. Does that make sense?

sure does! i thought it was going to be "pair of blue pants with flowers" or something and i wasn't sure if i could do it. now i get it (i need a smilie with a lightbulb over its head) LOL

Okay, I didn't clarify on the item titles, I had in mind children's dresses when I was making the list...shall I add a mama dress group in there as well?? If three people are interested, I'll add a mama dress group to the list :D

If you go up and check the dates, I'll be sending out the groups on the 24th,:) I'm taking the weekend to assign them, then they will be posted the 24th :D After that I'll edit the original post assigning the groups.

I'm running a day or 2 behind because of my brother's wedding on the 29th and then I was at the American Sewing Guild's convention in DC for 4 days (thu-Sun) and I'm trying to get back into the swing of things.

Hey mama :D No, you don't mail to me, because it's a small group, you can just mail to the mamas who are in your group directly...here is an excerpt from the sign up post:
