We like Highlights, My Big Backyard and Ranger Rick. No ads (very important to me ~ My Mom got them National Geographics Kids and I hate all of the candy and video game ads), lots of interesting reading.

Excellent! Thank you!
Meeshi- I almost just sent in the sub card for the nat.geographic one:rolleyes: I didn't know it had ads. I don't want ads for sure. Are any of the ones mentioned nature themed??

My Big Backyard and Ranger Rick both have a lot of nature articles etc.

I'm glad you waited on the NGK. I thought it sounded ok when my Mom mentioned getting the girls a subscription but was *not* impressed.

The most recent mag has ads for Willie wonka candy, Froot Loops, Hubba Bubba gum, a few Nickelodeon shows and a few Playstation games.

I just had to shake my head when my Mom just mentioned signing them up for Nickelodeon magazine. Oy. I bet that's full of ads and cr@p.

We love zoobooks here and they have a new one for younger kids that I think we may get zootles (I think).

We get My Big Backyard, Zoobooks (which is probably too old for my 4 year old), and Ladybug

Spider
Ranger Rick
Highlights
Pockets (Christian)
They are all so expensive. We buy the ones our local library is getting rid of for 5-10 cents each. Then I just give her one a month or so :)

I have a subscription to NG for Kids and am honestly very disappointed in it. I expected something with lots of cool info, facts, and things for Aidan to learn. Instead it's mostly junk. :(

I just ordered My Big Backyard for him because he loves Ranger Rick but it's a little too much for him outside of looking at the pictures.

Also, I order most of my mags through either discountmags.com or bestdealmagazines.com There are some really great deals on there at times. You just have to check once a month or so to catch the ones you want.
