or an out of body experience? I've been reading a lot about them after a freind of mine experienced this. Amazing!

I did when I was 10- I know this sounds stupid-I almost fell off the Grand Canyon.

My sister and I were playing too close to the rim and I tripped and 1/2 my body was off the edge. I have never been so scared in my life- I can't really describe how I felt.

Anyway, after what seemed like eternity I got back on the edge and now I get really anxious when people are by ledges, etc.


I've been back to the GC several times since then- and with the kids I really do just about have a nervous breakdown each time (my dh hikes down to CO river, and I take the kids on the bus tour or the museum!).

I was in a sailboating accident when I was seven. The boat capsized. My shirt was twisted and hooked on something on the boat under the water and after struggling to get loose I gave up trying to get free. I accepted the situation and started feeling very at peace and seeing colorful lights shooting around me.
Another boater did come under and got my shirt loose and pulled me up to the surface.
I never lost consciousness (didn't need rescue breathing) and so therefore I wasn't very far gone. I do consider it a very spiritual experience. I experienced a lot in a short amount of time.
