:lol: I bought some great books several months ago and not enough time to read them all! James Harriot's Treasury for CHildren, The Book of Virtues, The Complete Tales of Winnie-the-Pooh, and the Tales of Peter Rabbit and His Friends.

Night time reading doesn't always work b/c DS chooes other books to read!!! I want to read these!!! How do you do it?

I know just what you mean! Our local library has a book sale every other week from May until October. Then in October, they have "half price day" and "give away day". Needless to say we have stacks of books everywhere that we never even got to put on shelves yet. But I can't bring myself to say no when the kids want to buy books!

Do you read at mealtimes? I read books to Erik during breakfast, and to Anders during lunch. Of course, Erik listens to everything I read "for Anders", too, but Anders loves having his own "reading time". He says, "My books! Time for my books!"

We do some at dinner, too, but normally then we do the Bible lesson from Sunday school.

I find it a great time to read to the kids. Of course, I don't eat at the same time, so I normally read first, then eat my food after they are done. Other times in the day they get to pick what they want, but I pick the mealtime books (OK, I still take requests from Anders, like if he asks to read a favorite. But we do our Sonlight reading at breakfast, so Erik doesn't get to choose. Not that he minds.)

you know that sounds wonderful - BUT - I do not htink it would work in our home. I need to eat when the kids eat if I want to eat AND if I do not eat it is my time to tidy up the kitchen, throw some washing in, etc.....

Myabe when I do not have a baby anymore.

I read throughout the day - 5 minutes here and there.. but bedtime is Daddy's time to read, and Daddy reads a chapter book. One chapter a night, everybody climbs up into Mommy and Daddy's bed and we snuggle before going to their own rooms for the night. :) non-chapter books are read whenever/all the time/continually some days..
