I was originally thinking of starting it when DS was 8 but I think that we could do it this year at 7 for 2nd grade. Is that too soon? Would we be better off waiting until 3rd grade?

I did not like the Writing Strands 2 book and am looking for something else for next year. Is WS 3 different?

WS 2 was very slow and asked the child each time to write what they learned and other evaluations.

I used it for the first time when my child was 10. He really understood and got into the exercises.
