supplies? i am reading this to mean curricula? i buy probably 90% of mine at rainbow resource.

http://www.rainbowresource.com/index.php

it's a family owned company and they've got most of what we need at great prices. they come to a local convention annually as well so i can get my hands on things to decide if i want/need them, take notes and then order as i need them through the year.

the rest i get either on ebay, local used curricula sales or the goodwill (surprisingly enough.)

as for day to day supplies, i go to target in september after school has started locally and they've put the school supplies on clearance (at least 30% off) and literally buy a cartload. paper, crayons, markers, erasers, gluesticks, notebooks...all of it. i load up.

generally that one load at target gets me through until the next spring/summer. i maybe have to top off crayons. maybe.

Yup, we'll be braving Walmart next week and stocking up on glue, crayons, markers, colored pencils, notebooks, etc, etc, etc. For actual books, we either buy them on amazon or at the brick-and-mortar bookstore, and for "curriculum", I order through Rainbow Resource.

I actually found alot of our books on Ebay for this school year. We usually buy our supplies(pencils, crayons, glue, etc) at the Dollar Tree or Walmart when they have back to school sales. Paints and other crafty type stuff, we pick up at Michael's when there is a sale.

I bought our math curriculum on line (Right Start). We are doing Ambleside online so I bought most of the books needed online too. A few I got at B&N. I plan to buy our other supplies -- art supplies, lesson books, pencils, and craft supplies etc from Paper Scissors Stone http://waldorfsupplies.com. What we don't get from there I will get locally like Michaels etc.

I buy local, or used online through private party. I really try to support my local homeschool store, as they are run by a homeschool family. We don't have too many small business around here so I do my best to support them.

I buy a lot at used curriculum sales, and then some at the goodwill, regular bookstores, the homeschooling bookstore, rainbow resource, and the giant convention.

Math-U-See is a good set of math books and helpful videos explaining each new concept.
Other books I collect from everywhere, mostly used. THere is a bi-annual library book fair here that aways has a great education section. Books at the Salvation Army thrift store are .25 each in the children's section.
Right now spiral note books are .10 at wal-mart. Glue sticks and liquid glue are both .20
