I am currently doing a massive purge of all my clothes.
I just threw away every pair of underwear I own except the 9 new pairs I bought last week.
I chucked every bra except a new one and about 4 others.

Now is the hard part. I don't know about you, but I have some clothes that I hang on to for 'when I lose weight' or for sentimental reasons.
I am trying to be strong--thinking of a nice uncluttered dresser/closet.

EEK!!!

you can do it, mama! don't hold on...you'll want new clothes when you lose weight. at least that's what my head says...i, too, struggle with keeping that stuff. sounds like you've been doing a good job!

If you haven't worn it in a year, really consider tossing it!!! I know it's hard when you are in the midst of having a family, weight up and down, pregnant on and off, but be serious about what you will really wear again. If it is special, but you won't wear it, wouldn't it be nice for someone else to be able to enjoy it? Take a picture of it, if you don't already have one, and set it, and yourself, free!!!

Just chuck it. Seriously. It makes you feel SO much better. There is a section on that exact thing in "The Simple Living Guide" that talks about how your old clothes are baggage for your old life, and how every time you see them you remind yourself that you are not good enough right now. This is counterproductive for loosing weight. It is counterproductive for any positive change in your life. Those things are the FIRST to go with me.

Just remember while getting stuff out of your house;

"I have enough...
I do enough...
I am enough...
Breathe."

And just purge away!

how's it going?

i know i always do better purging when i pull things out of my closet...let them sit somewhere else for a little while (ie a bin in the top of dd's closet) and then i go back and realize that i totally don't need to hold onto it anymore)
