Have any of you skipped a period in history? We are doing SOTW I right now and are really enjoying it, but I have this huge urge to skip ahead to American history. I know my son would LOVE it and get so much out of it, but I feel guilty for skipping ahead. :lol:

You didn't mention what time period you'd be skipping, but don't you repeat historical times every few years with WTM? My question is, wouldn't you cover it eventually anyway?

I wouldn't skip year two. There are so many interesting things that happen. Medievel castles, knights, Viking invasions, crazy kings and even crazier queens. Nope, I wouldn't do it.

He would totally love the castles...hmmm...the fact of the matter is that he loves all of it. I think I will probably go with the flow and not skip ahead. We won't be finished with SOTW I til November or so, so I have plenty of time to decide. :)
