so how do we get this started?

Would we elect a leader and then read and discuss according to a schedule?

how about a leader per week? say on monday she chooses the books/chapters to discuss then thru the week we discuss it. the next monday a new leader & book/chapter.

we can make a list of leaders from this thread & just start a new thread each week for the discussion.

hows that sound? other ideas?

THE ENTIRE BOOK OF PHILLIPIANS. It is only 4 chapters long.

Here is the first scripture that has stood out to me since reading the first few verses.

Phil 1:11 New Living Translation
May you always be filled with the fruit of your salvation-the righteous character produced in your life by Jesus Christ-for this will bring much glory and praise to God.

I read the first two chapters last night while I was in school. It is pretty neat how things you read pertain so much to what is going on in your life right now. I will post more later. I have to go to work, and I would like to skim the 2 chpts I read again in my life application bible too.

here's what caught my attention...ch.3 vs. 15-16

15All of us who are mature should take such a view of things. And if on some point you think differently, that too God will make clear to you. 16Only let us live up to what we have already attained.

primarily vs.16---living up to what we have already attained...putting into practice the truth we already comprehend. we are responsible for the truth we already possess. (from niv study bible). this just really emphasizes to me that its up to me to do the things i know are right, that i am mature enough to do this. this completely builds my faith.
