Maiden Comfort

It took me WAY longer than it should have to get this done. It's for a SWAP contest at sewingmamas. When I was at lisak's I raided her stash for most of these fabrics. All except the yellow french terry came from her  I originally was going to do church/dressy casual clothes, but changed my mind when I couldn't come up with enough from my stash to do it. And then when I was helping Lisa unpack her fabric, I found the yellow plaid, and it all came together then bit by bit as we unpacked.
All patterns except the jacket are from 2/2001 Ottobre. Jacket is KSFC.

Shorts are a very lightweight french terry, with a bear embroidery on the front leg and back where a pocket would go. T is a camping/adventure themed interlock. I changed the v-neck to this overlapped style, and I like it much better than normal ones - basically easier to get in right.

Jacket out of the same FT, and same embroidery on the chest. I hope this will be light enough that he can use it in the evenings to protect from squitos a bit.

Tan baby wale cord shorts. The pattern called for pockets that I omitted on everything, but also this pleat in the lower front leg that I did on the cord shorts. Shirt is striped interlock - with a normal v-neck neckline that I messed up a little on.

First of the camp shirts - this is a untensil print that I really liked!

The plaid that started it all

Blue baby wale cord shorts with the pleat in the leg again, and a PRR stripe for the shirt.

Yellow french terry shorts, topstiched in light brown to add some contrast/interest. PRR shirt again with a dragonfly camp shirt over it.

Close-up of dragonflies, they match the PRR pretty good!
So in all, Kivett got:
4 pairs of shorts
3 T-shirts
3 camp shirts
1 lightweight jacket
At least 48 outfits, but really more since the camp shirts can be worn over the T-shirts as well as on their own!!
