Dh did not have to play bass and I was off for singing this week so we decided to stay home while I work through some of my own issues...

Thought of you and the fam today and wondering if you went anywhere again this week:)

We actually did go to the church I mentioned in the other post and had a lovely time. It was our kind of place and we're planning on going back next weekend and see ...

The music was contemporary, I met the worship leader and he's new - hired 2 weeks ago. I already asked about auditioning lol and he was very receptive and almost excited so that was a nice sign. My Zoey loved the kindergarten class, Roman stayed with us and slept - the pastor is on sabbatical for the summer so the Youth pastor preached today and Chels LOVED him . He was energetic, funny and motivating.
The church itself is fairly small but offers a great teen ministry, awana and VBS w hich I signed zoey up for today. Even if its not our home church (which i think it may become with time) - I'm comfortable letting her attend their vs at our old church for the week in July.

My neighbors/friends went with us and after the service the husband turned to me and said he saw 'the old barb' today - the one who glows and beams and is filled with the Spirit on Sundays :). That was nice to hear, and true. Singing and dancing and praying and praising today did wonders for me.

Anyway it was all good and we'll go again next week. We'll go for a while I think and check it out but it felt good to me. Dh liked it too.
