I anyone aching for a spot in group 1? I am on the fence about doing two groups for this swap since I have been a few days late on each of my past swaps - I need to slow down, lol!

Yes, per the new guidelines, the groups will be no larger than 6 total. Additional groups can be added if necesary.

If nobody else wants in I would love to have a spot in group 3 as well. I already made everything I need for all 3 groups, might as well use them. I would rather someone who isn't in at all yet have the spot though, if they want it. Does that make sense? I can wait until the last minute on this one since I'm already done. If nobody else signs up then I'll take the spot in group 3.

Ok..the pirates are going very well..they will be 4" though, if no one objects..I will do the pirates..need black felt for the hats but got everything else in hand. So group 1 :D

Daisy's pirates and wenches arrived today! If this is any indication of the swap items to come, this is going to be an AWESOME swap! I will be sure and take pics of each group's items before I send them off.

I am shipping 6/20 (Tuesday). I wanted to post here since I am offline mostly these days. The PC is doing something goofy and dh is in the middle of Analytical Chemistry class ;pop: and hasn't had 2 minutes to even look at it let alone FIX it, lol. Please LMK when the maps arrive. They are super cute. I hope everyone else likes them. If the puter gets fixed I'll upload a photo of them.

heres my update - I cant not find the time to fiddle with making the looking glasses for #3 I hope you all understand - the islands are great though ;) they come with rocks and shells does that make up for it?

I need to finish my #1 group of things - instead of gear each will get a deck hand/ ship mate ;) sorry for the change but ya need to finish them up and hopefully sent out on Friday. Sat at latest if need be but I should finish them all up by tomorrow night.

Friday is my last day to ship anything before I leave for MN. So I do apologize for running behind on my schedule of plans and Im starting to run around like a ya know what right now trying not to forget anything. I always say I will be packed weeks in advance so that I can spend the last few days peacefully and give DH more attention, and Im starting to feel like that isnt going to happen lol ... sigh ...

islands are done those will at least get sent out shipmates looks promising and will update if they make the journey your way on Friday.

otherwise I will apologize ahead of time if it ends up being that I ship the mates out after I get back in July ( return the 19th ) so Id have to ask for a few days

no panic attack here, I leave the 27th and wont be back till July 19th - its just my fault for not planning and crafting as much as I should have been doing to prepare to get things out before I leave and before they are due - so my apologizes again if I cant get the shipmates done tonight and shipped tomorrow - will be working on it!!

for group #1 I chose to do shipmates instead of gear - each started out with same pant and top but each ended up different lol each just ended up that way having the short pudgey guy to the tall skinny guy to the guy with a potbelly from tooo much ale haha ....

all are bald though with white skull caps free to add your own markings of the pirate clan he arrives into !! :)

Anyone know if this is correct? I am getting ready to send my items and I want to make sure I am in this. I not sure where I stand in the mermaid swap and I do not want to confuse Lori but sending the items & then not be in it.

With all the dropping and hostess switching, I do not know what is going on. Apparently while I was away I missed what was happening and I have not been able to catch up. I think I am cracking up.

Update on my status:
Due to some unforseen (and ongoing) medical appointments, I am running very behind on the pirate and mermaid swaps. I'm sorry, all, for holding things up as I have. Below are my swaps for this round and their status:

PIRATES
Group #1 - "Land Ho." Unless a miracle occurs, will be sending individually. Expect to have these completed by Friday.

Group #3 - "Pirates." 3" bendies. Tried a new technique on them (wet-felted for that bare-chested look lol) and am waiting for them to dry. Clothing is cut out. Will be complete Tuesday 7/11.

MERMAIDS
Group #1- "Sand Bar Futons" Possibly one of the weirdest things I've ever made lol. These are complete. They are sand-colored felt mattresses for your mermaids that fold up into a couch. DD would like to point out you can also use them as magic carpets that attach to your hand.

Group #3 - "Playmat." Mat is blocked but needs to be assembled still. I don't expect this one to be done before Sunday 7/16.

So - I am really bummed about not getting these done on time. Groups Pirate #1 and Mermaid #1 will mail tomorrow afternoon, priority mail. Groups #3 Mermaid and #3 Pirate will mail out individually as soon as possible :o

Lori - sorry, I gave you the wrong info off-board about what is being sent to you, and what is going out individually. To clarify: I am sending the PIRATES (group #3) to YOU and mailing the "land ho" playmats individually.

As you can tell from the OP and new title, I am planning on sorting, boxing, and addressing these tonight, and mailing tomorrow! I will have postage for all of you later on this evening (PST). I will put totals and my PayPal address in a separate thread (since some of you are in both swaps) once I have everything divided.

And look for pics in the OP, as I am going to (attempt) take pictures of each grouping before I send them!
