My first attempt at a flower child german style! i like her. :D but man, these take a LOT more fabric than the wee bendies.... and i'm so used to that scale. i still haven't found a good source for wool blend felt. :eyes:

thanks, mama. i found thesliverpenny.com bundles 32 colors of 18x12 inches for $40. not a great deal, but is it 60/40 like i want. i will keep looking, though! i called all three joann, michaels, and beverly's yesterday and they don't have much at all. most wool contest is 35% but most of the colors they have are 20% wool. i will look in those stickies!

ahh..I got 35% wool..I wouldn't mind some better when I can afford..this was only 7 dollars a yard though and for what you need for bendies, I only spent 7 bucks on 4 colors :D

Very cute "blumenkind". Can't remember what that means but I see them called that on German ebay.
Keep up the nice work.
Are you going to put her on ebay?

Oh, wow! She's beautiful!!!
Are there any good weblinks out there you can share on making bendies/dolls in this manner?
I'd like to try my hand at ones like this, in little Gods/Goddesses!
Thanks.

i don't have any links, unfortunately. i got the book "making flower children" and went from there. it not the greatest, instructions wise, like it doesn't really explain lengs and feet in detail, but the photos are good. i also got a couple of actual dolls from a mama in germany which actually inspired me to try my hand at them!
thanks everyone for the compliments. :smooch:

the legs and feet... well, the first two dolls don't have any. :D it's just the dress closed at the bottom, and the whole body stuffed with wool.
the third one, i did it pretty much like a bendy, but wrapped in wool, and then put the felt clothes on top.
