a few weeks ago we we ent to the LLL conference and all was fine. My energetic spirited boy who loves everyone and is always on the move was there.

The following Monday he got strep throat and its like he never recovered. That was like 3 weeks ago.

Its like he has slowed down. Today he spent nearly all day in his spider man suit in my lap. When we go places and people talk to him he is suddenly hiding behind my legs and not talking to people... not just strangers but people we know.

On the other hand his potty learning has taken a giant leap and we have stopped having poops in the underpants

he turns 3 next month

is this just his growth spurt? hormone rush moodiness?

I would say it could be just a phase--my Alex is rambunctious and smile-crazy, but still, once in a while, he gets super shy.

But I would also be concerned that maybe he's not completely over being sick? Or maybe he's sick with something else?

hmmm i think it is a combination in all of it- sickness- transition to being a "big" boy potty wise and also being three in general.

3 is much easier when he isnt sick!

He is mostly good goes through these not himself shy phases but then will go 2 weeks being the kid he is...
