View Full Version : x-post: Getting Baby A head down!

I'm over 35, I'm having twins, and I found a midwife practice who will take me and have me deliver in a birthing center (NOT an OR!)... But all this happy stuff only gets to happen if my first baby is head down, and last I looked via ultrasound (25 weeks), the boy was all scrunched into breech. I'm 30 weeks now (my ticker seems to be off), but I'm pretty sure he's not head-down--too many suspicious kicks to my cervix! I've got an anterior placenta covering him up, AND his sister is on top of him, so I can't physically move him from the outside.
To make a long story short, does anyone have any getting-your-baby-head-down ideas I can try? I know the bottom-in-the-air trick (which hasn't seemed to help yet), but that's about it. I'd love some advice! Thanks!

Hi Stacy~
I have heard that the homeopathic remedy, Pulsatilla, can turn babies. I'm not sure about twins, though. You may want to check with a homeopath in your area. Hope this helps!
Can't wait to see pictures of your little ones when they arrive! :)

posting so you see i saw . . .
I'm sorry i don't have any suggestions. The only thing i did was have a serious talking to w/the babies. i simply told them that they had to stay head down. i did a lot of visualization oh, and i spent a lot of time on my hands and knees.

Thank you both! I'd be VERY curious to know how Pulsatilla works... I'll be seeing my midwife tomorrow, so I'll be sure to ask.
I'm so sorry it took so long for me to respond, but I've had the WORST cold for a week now. It was just a stupid head cold, but I felt like I had the flu, I was so unable to fight it off. Sigh.
I don't mean to sound ungrateful, because I'm so pleased to be pregnant with these babies... but twin pregnancies sure are tough!
I'm off to spend some time on hands and knees! :)

I hope that you continue to feel better!
I read Adria's post in the expecting forum and it looks like I did the same thing as she - so maybe I'm not so far off.
