Finn is now 9 months he still does not believe that he should be put down for any reason whatsoever. I truly think he would be crawling by now if he just spent a few minutes on the floor.

He has entered the flapping phase. When I put him down he starts pretty quickly crying screeming and flapping his little arms and kicking his feet. Please someone tell me they had a baby do this and it did not lead to knock down drag out kicking screaming toddler tantrums.

I dont put him down much. Just when I am doing something I cant have his grabbing hands involved with... ya know cutting my lunch wiping my bottom changing Miguel's underpants or putting a shirt on myself (arm holes while holding a baby dont work)

just do what you have to do as fast as you can & let him fuss while you do it then pick him up again. not uncommon at all.....i think they call it separation anxiety....not that you leave him somewhere, but that he isnt attached to your body;)

Ya know, as much as a pain Miguel was with sleep and nursing and everything we never had a moment of seperation anxiety.

Thing is we deal so well with preventing tantrums with Miguel has only really had a handful of serious kicking flailing tantrums... the regular refusal to do what mom asks tantrums and stomping off we have. I guess because he is so verbal we are able to figure stuff out together and he can tell me what he wants or needs lessening the frustrations of the world

But the other day as I was rushing to make myself lunch I caught a glimpse of Finn at 2 years flailing and kicking and thought wow is this a sign of what is to come and got scared

Does a 9 month old tantrum tosser make a 2 year old tantrum tosser?
