I can't believe it, but I have removed enough books from our bookshelves to fill 5 good sized boxes! I decided to plunge in; I really did not think I could part with so many, but I could! We had extras of many great children's books and I was even able to get rid of some nice reference books etc. The kids and I are going to donate the books to the Boys and Girls club here, and we even have some to donate to the local public school. It's all really nice, too- no junk, nothing w/mildew etc. I am *really* proud of myself. I was also able to better organize the books themselves. Now, I really know where everything is. I just gotta remember. lol

I did! You have a great memory! It felt really good delievering those books, too. I brought some to the public school in our neighborhood and they were so sweet when they accepted them. I made sure there was nothing I wouldn't want to recieve, so I feel good.

I then made a run to the Boys Club with some, plus a couple of board games, and did another run to the family shelter with some, including books and magazines for the parents & staff, and I even added some outgrown kids jeans etc. My kids alll went with me, and my youngest dd decided to part with a doll stroller (for her stuffies) and donated that as well. lol

After I posted, I went though all the rooms, and came up with a couple more bags, so it was really, really cleansing. Plus everything found a new home. No landfill guilt. :monkeydan
