I find that the more I do, the more I want to do. Of course, knowing that I have family coming in from out of town helps (although the dates have been pushed back by 2 days, so I'm slacking more than I should)

I have dh taking a BUNCH of stuff to goodwill today (4 boxes from the garage from yard sales that didn't sell in the past 2 years), also two boxes in the spare bedroom from decluttering the toy room and clothing bins.

Today I need to detail all 3 bathrooms and clean the linen closet in the main bathroom. We have WAY too many sheets. I usually just wash them and put the same ones back on. We rarely use flat sheets and we have SO Many prefolds (I use them for cleaning) but not THAT many, plus a full potty chair and 3 potty seats that go on the toilet. Um, our youngest has been pottying for 2 years now and we can get rid of all but one that we use for young guests...lol

I also need to take down and wash the kitchen curtains and also simplify our storage dishes. As soon as I have the glass ones I need, all the darned plastic can go.

So, thats my list for the weekend (and catching up on laundry)

If I get a little extra time, I will post more free for shipping stuff before the next run to goodwill, some for sale stuff, and hopefully go thru a box in my bedroom taking up space.

Give me heck if you see me on here and not doing something productive, like posting a fs or ffs list.....lol

Yep, once I get started and seeing how much better everything looks, I get *so* motivated, whether it is cleaning or getting rid of junk and clutter.

Hope you get everything done. :)

Im still pondering what it means to 'detail the bathrooms".

It sounds awesome!

Well, I only got the basement bathroom detailed. Basically I clean it as I normally would but I use an old scrubbing toothbrush around the faucet, toilet, and any tile. The basement shower hasn't been used since, gosh, last summer, so it was mostly dusty but there was some grout that I needed to bleach.

I will get the master bath finished tomorrow and only the tile around the main bath counter and tub surround need to be done.

My motivation is the new founded space in my tiny apartment once I declutter.
My other motivation is a book called "Voluntary Simplicty", which I only need to read like a page of to realize that heck, I don't need half the stuff that I have and it is a pain to spend so much time cleaning and caring for things that are of no benefit to me....
one part of that book in particular says something about how we have too much while others go without...that gets me everytime, literally. After I finished reading that part the first tiem, I put the book down and looked around the room at what I could get rid of...
