When did all your children start walking????

Ellery's more interested than she was, say, last month...she actually loves her walker and can navigate around the thing in circles.....but that's it! I try to stand her up and help her balance and she wants nothing to do with it. I try holding her hands and letting her walk along between my legs and I get nuttin but noodle legs! I want her to walk! She just turned 1 on March 12th.....come on already! Kaya was walking a few days after one and so was Cody! Both of them were closer to "balancing" themselves than Ellery is...sigh

She is having a language boom right now. She can repeat most one syllable words...she picked up 2 new words a day this past week! She's got awesome fine motor skills...she can hold a crayon & draw like a 2 year old....it's kinda bizarre....but what about her LARGE motor skills!? She needs to work on them!

My oldest walked at 9 months, my second walked at 10 months. Reagan just turned 1 on 3/22 and, while she is cruising everywhere, she just won't let go! She has balanced a few times when I've stood her up but she isn't interseted in taking a step - yet. I have noticed a boom in her language skills lately, too. She'll get there and probably will start running rather than walking :)

Miles was 13 months and Quinten just started at 12 months. I noticed that with Miles he also had great fine motor skills and talked up a storm quite early. Quinten hasn't mastered as many words but is walking a bit sooner. Miles also didn't crawl until almost 11 months. Quinten, while he walked earlier never crawled. It just seems they do different things at different times. There does seem to be some correlation between earlier gross motor and later talking and vice versa.

Laura was 10 1/2 months, Jacob is 13 months and just took off for the first time last night! He had been taking a few steps here and there, but last night, he walked through the whole house. He was so proud of himself!

I don't think I would worry about it. She'll walk before you have the new baby. ;) My dd didn't walk until 14 months but my first two boys walked at 9 months. That freaked me out a little bit, but it all turned out fine. My dd did talk even more than the boys.

Well, if you've read any of my insecure posts you'll know that my girls are like night and day! Ava walked at 10 months, Stephanie at 15! Ava could talk in sentences by now, Stephanie says words like "mama', "dada", "kitty"...they are so different! in stephanie's defense she is a pretty happy, outgoing girl while Ava is shy, more complicated....

My oldest never crawled, she got up and walked at 13 months. My toddler now crawled from 10 months on and refused to walk until 18 months! She just turned 2 two weeks ago :cuc:

are you sure you want her alking when the baby comes...lol!!!!!!

Evan was 14mo and Olivia well, she furniture cruises and does the elephant stand in the middle of the room but hasn't figured out how to go straight up yet. She will be 10mo on the 11th. I am in no hurry though. IT sounds like Ellery is mastering other areas first. GOod girl! Olivia LOVEs to color too! If she shes crayons and papers watch out!!!!

Elias didn't even think about walking until 15months, Hannah was RUNNING at 9months. Bayus is 11months and crawls FAST, cruises along furniture and has only had fleating thoughts about a first step. I'm expecting him to start walking any time, just not sure when. He only eats crayons and says 'mamamamamama', 'dadadadada' ect

My first was around 9 months 2nd 10 months and Victoria is running on her first b-day video but had only taken her first steps two or so weeks before that. She is prob waiting till she has it down pat and then will take off! Isabella wants to go so bad she tries to jump out of my arms to follow the kids lol but hasn't master pulling herself up yet, she will do it the whole time she is in the bath but will only get on her knees by the couch, goofy baby, she's only 9 months though. My niece turned 1 a few days ago and has taken a few steps here and there, my friends baby is 13 months and hasn't taken any yet

Lindsey was 9.5 months, Josh was 10 months.. Leila's 8.5 months and *just* started cruising at 8 months (late comparatively for my other two).. she tries to take steps between things, but can't stand without assistance, so she falls.. if I try to help her stand, her feet are constantly moving, so she can't do it. She's much quieter and more serious than the other two.. they were very similar in personality, and she's totally a different little creature. I'm enjoying her so much :)

Cole was almost 18 months.
And Truman (15 months)... well, I think he probably could walk, but he's stuck on his walker now. He pushes that thing all over the place and he "runs" everywhere. It cracks me up how much effort he puts into turning the walker around in corners, etc. He even walks all over the yard with it!

I hope that he'll be toddling here soon, but I don't expect real walking for a few more months.
