I have books and curriculum coming out my eyeballs. There are books everywhere, in the garage, in the living room, in the playroom, in my room and the kids room. I really need to start cleaning out our book shelves. I just don't know how you decide what curriculum to keep? I have Sonlight K-3 packed away in the garage. I want to keep it, but I don't think I'll ever do those levels again. Yet, I love the books. I feel like some things I should keep just in case. For example, I have a "Story of the World" Book. I've never read it to the kids. I don't even remember why I bought it. But I feel like I should keep it just in case I decide to read it one day. ((sigh)) It would be nice to clean some things out, I just don't know how to decide what to keep and what to get rid of.

We also have books coming out of our eyeballs. I don't get rid of much, book wise. I have 3 large bookshelves in the living room which contain the main books we 'need'. I have them arranged in a way that makes sense to us. I would not get rid of SOTW. It's a good resource. My 'system' is simple. lol
The historical non fiction is in one area, arranged in chrono order. So, fi, a
Mummy First Reader is in the same area as the National Geographic hardcover on Ancient Egypt. The fantasy fiction has it's own area. Geography books another. My fiction history books are also arranged in chrono order, starting with prehistoric and ancient times. The science books start with evolution and work their way to DNA etc. The animal books are altogether, arranged by continent as best I can. All the solar system/space books are together etc. The anatomy books are altogether- the simplest My Body books for toddlers are in there alongside the college textbooks.
All this to say that I keep and need nearly everything. ;)
