Most likely they will keep most of the stuff the same. They may put more money into advertisments and packaging, which would be sad to see it all go to waste... but I doubt they will mess with the actual products much.

I really hope they don't. Colgate is one of my least fav co.

Now, am if I can recall correctly, Colgate/Palmolive is owned by Proctor and Gamble. :nono: So no way am I going to buy anymore Tom's. :shake: Sorry Tom.

well look on the bright side... it could be a good thing because isn't that what we want for natural products to be just as common in the grocery store as synthetic products? I would rather buy products from there orginal creator, but hey if it means that TOM'S becomes a regular house hold name... i support it.:happy:

They do here. CVS, Publix, some Winn Dixies, Walgreens. Not the full line, usually only the ones with floride (which sucks, I still have to buy mine from the HFS). I think Target carries it too.

That's rather disappointing. They're sell outs. :( I finally found a place that sells a bunch of Tom's Of Maine products in this podunk town and I don't have to order it online anymore. I hope they don't change too much either. But if they do, I have Nature's Gate to fall back on. I like their toothpaste too, it's just more expensive than Tom's which is why I started buying Tom's.

I wonder what the reasonibg was for Tom's. Why can't they smaller places stay in business. Do they just want more money like the rest of the country? Or could they no longer stay in business?

I used to really like Tom's toothpaste, then I noticed that they use SLS in most of the toothpastes. that was a bit of a turn off for me. EWG rates them in the low-moderate category safety score. Granted, they are waaaaaaaay lower than say Colgate or AIM, but still, sls is one of the things I try to stay away from if I can.

You can get most of the Toms stuff here at Walmart including the deoderant.

Ok, the SLS thing doesn't make me happy. What are other brands that are similar to Tom's?
