Imagine taking something and taking all vitamin and mineral content out of it. Then concentrating it and processing it into a form that it would never take in nature. This is very exciting because you can get that sticky sweet taste without using things like actual sugar, which cost much more and have to be imported, but anything that processed is hard for our bodies to digest. Not to mention that becuase it does not exsist in nature, our bodies are not meant to have it at all... so the chemical reactions that it creates in humans can be seen as "behavioral problems" like ADHD or Hyperactivity disorders. There is nothing to compare it to in the food industry. High Fructose Corn Syrup is a drug. Plain and simple... they have taken everything that minght be food out of it, and made it into a drug.
