View Full Version : Recipe Exchange Interest?

Please note that I am not posting this as a swap or offering to host :)
Is anyone else interested in doing a recipe exchange? I had the idea of everyone starting a blank recipe book -- you would need to add 1 recipe to each section and then send it to the next person on the list. At the end, we would each get back a book full of favorite recipes from the other mamas.
Thoughts?

I did this for an ABC Recipe swap when I was really into scrapbooking:) They pages were 6x6 and we made the pages fit the theme of our recipes:) Mine was Apple Pie and Ice Box Lemon Pie...YUMMY!!

Love the idea :)
Yesterday as we were making cookies, I decided that for another winter holiday swap I am goin gto do a Christmas Cookie Exchange Swap .. everyone would make one cookie for each child out of whatever art material (felted wool, sewn wool, polymer clay, knit, crocheted, whatever) and then would also send the recipe to make the real version :)
I love trying new recipes so woul dbe up for a recipe swap :)

ooh, Bonnie.. I need in on that one!
I might be interested, depending on timing and what allergens we uncover with Leila.. it'd suck to get wonderful recipes we couldn't use *sigh*

I made Kenna a little gingerbread man set for yule 2 years ago. but my sewing machine was on it's last legs, it was hte last thing i stitched before getting rid of it, so it's falling apart now :( I want to try to find a way to make little pizzelles ;) I have some ideas but nothing I am sure will work.

That is a great idea! And building on Polkadotīs idea, it could be just certain size pages that you add to a prepurchased binder. Then the shipping would be cheap, I mean mailing say 10 recipe books costs way more. There are these small binders, about half letter size for example. I myself keep all my recipes in regular letter sized binders (well, all my recipes that are not in books that I own).
And even though we have food allergies I think I would love to participate anyway.

Ooh, me too! I would either make my rum logs, Swedish spritz, or krumkake -- the last 2 are hard to make without some special equipment, so maybe the rum logs....

I would love to be in this one
and I second the idea to just send pages, not the cover to send on shipping, I like this cuz everyone will have a book of several recipes in several handwriting(or printed, lol) it'll be cool :D
