This is one of our family fave veg meals. On ezekiel buns with fresh organic romaine, yogurt cheese, barbeque sauce, alfalfa sprouts, whatever you like. These rock!

4 cups water
1/2 cup braggs or soy sauce
1/3 cup olive oil
1 cup chopped fine walnuts, almonds or pecans
1/4 cup nutritional yeast
2 tsp garlic powder
1 Tbsp basil
2 tsp onion powder
1 tsp hickory salt
1 tsp coriander
1 tsp sage

4 cups ground rolled oats

Put all but oats in a pan and bring to a boil. Stir in oats and remove from heat. Cover adn set aside.
When cool shape into patties and cook appx 15 minutes at 350 degrees, turn over and cook another 15 minutes.

Enjoy~

We are having these with a side of steamed broccoli, cauliflower, and sauteed zuchini, with butter, nutritional yeast and garlic powder.
Homeade cole slaw and soup.

I tho...of course...filled up on tahini and veggies while I was preparing them and now I am full *lol*
This tahini is gonna be a vice I am afraid!

Hickory salt tastes kinda barbequey-I get it from the co op-it is made by Frontier.
Salt, hickory moke (torula yeast and hickory smoke) nutritional yeast and paprika. non Irradiated.

That is what it says on my bag.

Braggs is Amino Acids. Braggs is the company that makes it (or distributes it or created it-not sure) And it reminds me of soy sauce. It is a soy protein non fermented liquid.

The kids love them!

I fried the leftovers with some eggs and ricotta yesterday and served in tortillas with salsa.

oh thank you!
I now have a dinner idea for tonight!
I have made hickory salt before, the very simple version:
a few drops of liquid smoke mixed with some salt.
Seems to work ok.
Ok so tonight, cause I know you are all dying to know!
I will be making these and serving them with mashed taters and vegan gravy!
yum.
