wohoo! I am ahead :) I did that last weekend because dd learned to crawl and I had to get rid of my pile (area next to the sofa where things just piled). I have also kept previous junk piles clean (next to bed also on the floor and on top of a heater in the kitchen). I do have one pile left, it is my cookbook shelf where random copies of my craft stuff instructions tends to land, but that is just maybe 10-15 sheets of paper and couple of pieces of cardboard among cooking magazines.

Oh it better get worse before it gets better 'cause it's looking pretty scary in there now. Even SO said "I'm so glad you did this & not me, 'cause I couldn't do it" This from the master of throwing stuff out, yikes!

umm well there is progress. I can actually get *in* the room again. Most of what is left are things that don't belong in there to begin with, record collection, vintage family photographs, stuff to get rid of.

yeah! The declutter was a success. Enough that when my mom came for a visit this past weekend she noticed!

I love the room now. It's so nice to be able to sit at the keyboard or find anything that I need.
