Just a few plugs for some great family entertainment in the western part of NC.

First up, Merle Fest! The famed bluegrass festival will be here in our home county the last weekend in April - so excited!! DH will once again be working the River's Edge campground and we'll also be performing as part of the Playmakers...anyone ever go to this festival?

If you've never been, it's awesome! They always have a great lineup of acts: Allison Krauss (my fav), Doc Watson, Nickel Creek, Dolly Pardon, Loretta Lynn, Willie Nelson, etc. This year they'll have back, Doc, Nickel Creek, Sam Bush, Emmylou Harris, Bela Fleck, and many, many others! Also, in June & July the annual Tom Dooley drama will take place at both an outdoor ampitheatre and at the regular indoor hall. The drama tells of the famous love triangle of Tom Dooley that led to his subsequent hanging in the 1860's. DH and I met during the premiere run of this show and now our whole little family will be in it! You can learn more and get tickets at www.wilkesplaymakers.com
