I have a wool jersey diaper cover I was asked to repair--one of the wing snaps pulled through. Is there a real good way to repair this? I thought about just satin stitching the hole up and then re-snapping it---any other suggestions? TIA! :)

I usually close the hole shut w/ needle and thread. I wouldn't do it on the machine. Then re-snap. :)

If it is a small hole, I do what Megan suggested. My dh managed to put a large hole in one of ours and I put a small wool patch in it.

I've done it in the machine with a really close but wide zig-zag. That usually works better for me than hand-sewing. Good luck!

Thanks mamas--I actually got off really easy this time--it was the snap nearest the outside of the wing and I was able to just serge the hole off and resnap it and you can barely tell the wing is smaller. Yay! LOL! :)
