I followed someone's link from the wool food swap to the craftster.org forum and there someone had posted a link to that lady's site. Just amazing stuff, I'm SO glad that I have it bookmarked now. Duncan has already put in his order. :P

that is sool cool!
I think we need to keep thinking outside the box, I just bought a polymer clay book and anything in this book could be made with wool felt, or by dry felting or made with material, you just change your medium. I am the type that hates patterns and just prefers to wing it tho, lol

I have had that bookmarked for a while now. I got it from crafster also. I made a cake for my mom's birthday this year because she was dieting and didn't want a 'real' cake! :shake: So, I did strawberry (since that is her 'real' favorite!)

I wanted to mention that on some site a person said that these books are all available in Japanese bookstores. I think there are some in major cities but let me see if I saved the link.

I would die. I don't care if I have to force Maya to love bendies and the toys I make.

lol... I can't tell if the indifference of now or the old "why can't I have it? why do you always send all the toys to other kids I want that, can I have it, will you make me one? how about 2, one for me and one for Anna, no, wait, 4, one for my friends, too" is worse
seriously, though, they really do still love the things I make them, and ask for more, sometimes, but now... they just got the influx of Christmas gluttony from everywhere... I don't EVEN want to count how many mylittle ponies we got... and legos.. I don't think i can count that high ;)

The next time I am in Maine I will take a picture of my neices ponies... and the dollhouse she needs for them because she has so freakin' many. She went to a birthday party last month and it was a "bring-your-own-pony party". The last Christmas I got her the Strawberry Shorcake stable to house all of the Berry ponies.
I can't even imagine what I will do once Maya figures out she likes these toys.

I have just sent a My Little Pony Curse to California. Sorry I had to do it but that was just uncalled for ;)
For the most part when she asked for toys she sees in a store I remind her that we have something similar at home. I know this won't last for long though. Her best friends has parents and grandparents with $$$ They paly every Friday night and then I get to hear all about what Shaye has. Lucky for us these are the friends we get all the hand me downs from!

Oh my goodness, some of that stuff is so stinking cute! I love the fruits that you can peel and slice - just wonderful work. And did you all see the gingerbread house? What a cute idea. Though I did think the candies were a bit too big for the house, but that was cute. Who was it that was doing a gingerbread house for the fairy swap? That might give them some ideas :)
