I made a nice thick wooly pair of socks for dh to wear in his wellies on the farm. Poor guys feet get so cold. :rub: I made them for his christmas present, but only had one done on xmas day. I finally finished the other one tonight.
I used the mistake rib sock pattern http://www.knittingonthenet.com/patterns/socksmistakerib.htm from here. It was pretty easy considering it was my first pair of socks. The first one of the pair is a bit wonky as I learned some of the finer points of making socks, but the next one is just peachy. I used a worsted weight wool, which is much heavier than what the pattern calls for, but I wanted them to be double thick and warm for inside his big ol' wellies.
Sorry for the fuzzy pic. I was in a hurry tonight. They are kind of a mustard yellow and forest green.
