So, I'm in the mood for some chat :)

What kind of crafts do you do and what are you working on right now? Whats in the works for you?

I'm making a bendy queen and king for Corrie (my 6yr old). I'm using metalic thread with the embroidery and it is such a PITA to work with. I embroidered the queen's skirt today, I want to do the shirt and cape tonight. I've done the bodies for both already.

In the works for me are some new fragrances. I indulged in a few new essential oils when I reordered my supplies and I've been dreaming of a lemon/sage lotion. And then I was thinking of Bergamot and Lavender combo. I also got a juniper sage fragrance sample that I was thinking about doing in EOs instead of fragrance - but I already have a Juniper based scent and I'm not sure if I should bother. But then again, the juniper sage is really nice.

I also had some beaded ornament kits that I bought last year thinking I'd make them for this year. I really ought to put them together.

Oh, and I just helped the boys make their mocassins - Corrie wants to do hers tomorrow.

So - what is everyone else up to :)

Swap items of course, lol!

I started on the marsuipal dragon pattern last night. Took me FOREVER to draft the pattern, then I got the legs sewn before Holden woke up to nurse and I fell asleep with him :) Hopefully I'll get back to that tonight.

Got a diaper to make tonight as well.

Finished yesterday - tons of tiny little easter eggs for bendies to have an easter/ostara egg hunt. I made 120 of them! Now I have to get little baskets to go with them.

Also working on knight's dragon shields. I have 2 cut and painted, waiting for me to find a good dragon slip art to use as inspiration to paint on the shields. Need to make 6 more, but first I have to eat 3 more boxes of cereal, lol!

Also working on teeny tiny tarot card decks. I am searching for tarot deck slip art that is not scary, lol, so I can get those done :)

I also am cleaning a wool fleece, a little bit at a time, and will start carding it next week. I started needle felting a gnome with the uncarded wool because I couldn't help myself, lol!

I am working on a few necklaces for myself. That is the only jewelry I wear besides my wedding rings and a watch.

finishing up some little chinese boy bendies for the Chinese New year Swap and some star mobiles for the Celestial one. Gosh, 2 other swap items I have sort-of started but finishing these first.

That is about it for now as I am trying to get things ready for baby so swap items are it!!

I have tons of sewing projects to start and some to finish but that is for the sewing mama baord huh ;)

I have not even thought about my Winter Nature table since taking down the Advent one. We are doing some painting and general remodeling so it took a back seat. I really want to get that done!!

Lets see...started on the Dress up swaps and St Pats swap. Wrapped more bendie bodies for the castle swap. Finished up with the crescent moons for the Celestial Tiny Things swap. And need to finish a few besoms for the Imbolc Swap.

Finished the Valentines Swap too the other day. Monday I will be working on the Fun in the Sun Swap...and hopefully will have that one finished soon too:D

Oh yeah that metallic thread is fun isn't it (insert sarcasm here ) lol. That stuff drove me nuts.. the constant shreading.. ugh!

What am I working on? Just regaining some sanity from overdoing it in December and probably working on making my ass a bit bigger since I plan to be very lazy for the next 2 weeks (aside from the usual 4 million things I do during an average day) Netflix and Newman's Own chocolate are my new best buds for the next 14 days :)

I just painted up a bunch of faces for *gasp* bendies.

I have two tree stumps to complete and get listed.

I'm still working on that blasted cloud.

OOOOooo, I knitted. How could I forget this one? I just finished a project even.

I'm working on redesigning my shop.

Finally, I'm trying to get my instock back instock. LOL.

Same as Katie...trying to get some stock made up for my site. "Trying" being the key word. I've been really sick since Christmas and am not making great progress. Gonna try to get into the Dr today (yeah, mine is there on Sunday) since my dumb body is losing the fight.

I went to Joanns Fri night and spent too much money (and didn't even buy any fabric lol) so I have plenty to inspire me when I'm feeling better.

Oh, and I've been obsessively making potpourri components. Drying things.

And I've wrapped 25 bendy bodies and beeswax/oil finished 46 wooden rings for teether dolls.

Oh, Melinda, you wouldn't know it to look at it but that rayon/metallic floss (silky looking stuff) is way easier to work with, imo, than the stiff metallic stuff. I avoided it for the longest time bc it just looks like a mess waiting to happen. But I bought some recently and was pleasantly surprised.

Danielle - I'll have to check that out, what brand is it?

This metalic stuff is left over from a cross stitch I did when my mom got married. It was beautiful with doves and the 'Love is patient, love is kind' verse on it. It had roses and gold thread all through it. It about killed me to stitch and I swore I'd never touch the stuff again. I guess 4 yrs is long enough to forget what a pain it is!

Last night I got the queen's shirt done, I still need to do the cape - I was planning on using the gold thread all over the cape, but I may rethink that!

I've been working on that quilt I had shown a few days ago. A few pair of pj pants per kid. The Valentine's day swap and the birthday tiny things swap. :) I know what I'm making for the Vday swap, and I'm pretty sure I know what I'm making for the Bday swap. :) I think I'll make a little mat for the kids to put their bendies on. Something simple but make it look almost like a rug. A very happy celebration rug. :)

It's DMC...each skein is wrapped individually in plastic because the thread is so slippery it falls right out of the little sleeves.

ok I'm laughing. The metallic/rayon thread that Dannielle is talking about it what I used.. I'm pretty sure. It's individually wrapped and cost over a $1.00 per package. I'm bad at remembering brand names. It still drove me nuts lol.

lol, you aren't making me feel very good, lol.. I bought some of this rayon to use the day before this post was posted (rofl, intelligent sentence,eh?) and I was hoping it would be easier to work with than regular metallic thread, :hahaha:

oh well, knock on wood, it can't be worse, I have projects to do with it ;)

well then do NOT go anywhere near the regular metallic thread...it breaks constantly. The silky stuff is definitely easier than the stiff metallic.

and be warned: I'll be in full crafty mode soon :) went to the dr yesterday and found out I've had strep for 3 weeks. Once these antibiotics do there thing watch out! C-n-s's galore! ;)

First and foremost I am working on my swap items. I am making seals and pups. I have a stiff neck so I am trying to let that settle before I do anymore or else my neck will get worse.

Other than this I have various, quilting, and knitting projects to work on and I just got the book Wee Felt Folks that I've wanted FOREVER so that should be fun to play with.

I can post what I should be working on but am not, my baby is very complainy these past three days (teeth maybe?) and I have accomplished absolutely nothing. Right now she is complaining to dh so that I can read messages (haven't done it since Friday)

-I have started a pattern for gryphon and ammut for Kris, I have the felt cut and thread picked out, waiting to be sewn. Needs to be done this week.
-I have a really nice alpaca lace scarf I started in October and that I last touched mid November.
-Then there is a sweater I made for dh that has too tight and long sleeves, one sleeve is partially frogged and I have to reknit the rest of it, then repeat for sleeve number two.
-Then I have two bendie bodies wrapped, a customer asked really nicely whether I could make her a couple and I just couldn't say no even though I really don't like making bendies. This needs to be done this week.
-Then I have two bendie dolls to make for developing a pattern for Anubis and Thoth, I have the patterns drawn actually but I need the bodies and then I can cut out the heads and sew. This needs to be done this week too.
-Then I have made pipe cleaner body for a prototype of a troll that I am making for a swap.
-I have to sew dragons for a swap
-I have to make trees for a swap, actually today when we were on a public bus I managed to make half of one. These are crochet.
-And then I have a needle felted gnome body that needs a cloak and boots that needs to be done really soon, it is for k&f gnome event.

On the positive side, I finished a pair of longies I started in December (it didn't take me that long to knit, actually there are probably about 5 evenings of couple hours each, just got pushed aside for Christmas and stuff). I used curly-purly waist and I don't know whether my dd has gotten a slimmer waist since then or what but they don't stay up too well. But the longies look fabulous anyway, every day we get at least a couple of compliments :)
I just have to make a drawstring too and then they won't fall down.
