Julie -- What lens are you using? All of the lenses I've gotten for my camera came with an attached cap. I shoot with D70 which is essentially the same as the D50

Julie -- Did it not come with a lens cap? Am I just totally misunderstanding what you want?

yes..it came with a lens cap...but it doesn't have any way for it to be attached to the body when not in use. i was wondering if i could get one that could be attached to the body by a string so i don't lose it.

Ahhh, now that makes sense. I don't know that I've ever seen attached lenses sold. I know what you mean, though, cause I am forever misplacing mine.

julie, this is an old post...did you find what you needed? if not, you need a lens cap leash. they sell them at wolf/ritz for about $2 each. they attach to the camera by a string and to the cap by adhesive (just a wee bit).
