If everyone could shot for that, that woul dbe great, that way everything woul dbe guarenteed to be back toyou before Imbolc. I would say try to ship by the 14th, but the absolute latest for shipping would be the 18th. THat would still give me 2 weeks to get everything back.

I think I will make candle holders and paint them in imbolc colors. Anyone have any material ideas for me, I haven't worked with clays in a while, so what should I use for clay/molding, etc
oh, and I read in circle round they make spiral candle holders shaping and colored like a snake, whatcha think of that?

also for imbolc/candlemas, any food that are round and use grains(pancakes, crepes etc)
I have a recipe for crepes that can be made and frozen a week ahead of time :D I will go find it if there' any interest :D

I think I am making fire goddes figurines. They will be little clay goddess figurines with a fire painted on the belly. I have to make a prototype first and make sure I like the way they come out before I commit though.

Kris - seeds and stones would be gret here. At Imbolc, Kenna and I always map ou how we are going to plant our gardens in the spring and then we order all of our seeds,so that will fit in well.

I'm making priapic acorn wands.

I am going to make sprigs of white flowers. The only thing I am puzzled about is the type of flower that might be most symbolic--or is it just any white flower?

I am thinking of making the blooms with craft thread and the stems and leaves with floral wire and ribbon. Is this something that would be useful, say , on the nature table? If it doesn't sound like something useful, please LMK!!! thanks

I bought my first ever polymer clay and it's sooo much fun!
I made a candle holder, a snake that spirals up, then I added a pressed sun and the word 'light' I am going to bake it and see how it works :D

Does everyone here use the small maybe 1/3" diameter and 4" tall taper candles? I get them at my local pagan/religious store :D they come in all colors.....do you know what I am referring to? This is the size I made the candle holder for, but if everyone uses tea light or would prefer tea light I could make them that size instead....

Mine are going to be sent Monday.. my car is in the shop today. I'm debating what to send too.. I was going to do wands, but can't find acorns, either real or wooden.. I've got two more places to check today before I give up.

Ok, sorry about that! I thought of them as soon as I got home and couldn't find them in any of my bags :(

I'm slow and pathetic and can't make a freaking wand that won't break during shipping. :shake: So.. in an effort to not hold things up, I'm going to ship directly to each of you - I'm sending stuff to make a priapic (acorn) wand.. you'll just need a stick and string or twine - I'll stick in directions as well.. I'm also going to send crocus bulbs to force because they're one of the first things to grow in spring.

I got mine too but think I will wait to open it when everything else arrives for fear of making it myself and not sharing with katie and Wil. Dd spotted the new moon last night and I laughed with my best friend later on. Today, I will roll up some beeswax candles wth my dd :D
I always seem to be celebrating over a 3-5 day period, as i can not quite get my act together to do it in one day, lol

we celebrate over a multiday perriod too stacey. there are always too many things i want to do to fit it all in one day, lol.

yesterday, after storytime at barnes & noble, we baked a loaf of bread that we took to my mom's for dinner later that afternoon, then we took a wagon ride around the block because it was soooo nice out, and Kenna pointed out all the things that told her spring was on it's way and all the things that told her it was really still winter, even though it didnt feel like it. We looked for our shadows and read a groundhog's day story and did som eold wweekly readers about groundhogs. We read The Well and The Flame from Circle Round. Dug up some dirt outside and planted the shrusanthemum seeds Kris sen and the crocus bulbs Jodi sent.

Today we are skipping nature class because the thought of not only driving in this deluge, but also of traisping through the woods in it, is not very appealing, lol. So we will be planning our garden and making paper gardens, and making the wands that Jodi sent the items for :)

We received our goodies yesterday! Lorna loved the sage..she thought she was Ms. IT when I let her burn some:)
