Crafting is my therapy too. I have been a much happier mama since I have started to work for a couple of hours a night but then craft for a couple of hours after that. Granted, this is only working now because Holden doesn't nap anymore and the kids now go to bed at 7:00 ;)

Hmmm..I still want to do flower halos for the girls..but I know we have some boys in this one too:) Although I do not have a son..I bet they are not too keen on flower halos..so what about some kind of crown with a flame? Or just a crown of green leaves?

I just meant fire in any form ... bonfire, candles, flames painted on something or embroidered on something (like a bendy goddess with a flame embroidered on her dress), flaming wheel, etc.

I finished my items for this one last night ... I spent a couple of hours twisting together dried grapevines to make the fairy "looking glass". I think I will add some flowers to them so that they can be both fairy looking glasses for the kids and Beltane wreats for the nature table :)

Note - we are now 13 so please send 12 items ;)

I need to simplify, I was wondering if anyone woudl mind if i did a Beltane feast for our bendies to enjoy? or another thing i really want to do is a flower wreath. does anyone mind if i use silk flowers?

I thought that if I had time I'd put together a booklet of great passages from "Midsummer Night's Dream" since it really takes place around May Day not Solstice and the characters are right too. Anybody got kids old enough to appreciate such a thing (I've done the play wiht 6yr olds and they love it, but not sure what works for this crowd)

Kenna would love that! We have read the (very) abridged version of A mIdsummer Night's Dream, and also have the book A Midsummer Night's Faerey Tale, which she absolutely adores.

Beltane is one of my favorite celebrations too, and the only one that we celebrate with others in a group. We go to a May Pole dance with a parade and everything. It's wonderful! But fall is my favorite season as well, and everything that goes along with it :)

Sorry - my fault! I did't even look. I was thinking that we had lost our fire person.

I like the booklet idea. The white horses are also up for grabs because Kris isn't making them anymore. and white cotton would be fine.

book was wonderful--lots of great ideas to get me started.
Then I looked in my kiddie version of MSND and found perfect quotes to do a great little book in almost ritual format. So, unless anyone objects I'm going to go that route since it allows me to use what I have on hand until I get around to ordering wool felt. (it it payday yet?) Thinking about illustrating with watercolor versions of bendys from Felt Wee Folks or something similar.
We'll see what I can come up with this weekend.

Anyway...even better illustration idea. If everyone, especially you bendy makers, could post or send to me (Ipiglet@aol.com) pictures or at least descriptions with colors of what you are making, I could make the book match the characters the kids will be getting.

I plan on making the flower halos in pinks,blues and whites. Of course this could all change tomorrow when I go to the craft stores.:lol:

I'm making the fairy queen and she's going ot be mostly white.

I'm doing the twin bonfires that they'd run between with their cattle and such in order to purify them.

My fairy looking glasses are grapvine wreaths with spring flowers around them.

I reeeeaally hate to do this, but I have to drop this and the Spring swap. Something has come up suddenly in my family that I have to devote my free time to for the next two weeks. It is nothing bad, just necessary. I hope this will give someone enough time to snatch my spot or eases the load for those involved!

Alrighty, I got 3 of my flame bendies back from this swap. Korwynne said she is sending individually, are one of these bendies hers, or did the hostess keep a set for her?

I already traded one of my bendies away and was giving a set to my sister - but if I need to be holding onto these for people who are sending individually, I need to know ASAP.
