ok, first the sweet little one :)

Its a 4x5 mat, with little gnome guy adn his shovel, pumpkin and vine and carrot garden, a wee little brown gnome and his lunch-2 acorns, one green, one brown :) This one is up on my instock page :) Will probably list it on the market board :)

And this... sigh... I love it.. I got WAY carried away with the accessories but I think that completely MADE the set! After looking at the felted playscapes from http://www.sagedreamdesign.com/ I was feeling a little discouraged about my own crafting ability (yeah, i know, us artsy types are sensitive, :hahaha:) so, i started cutting felt and this is what happened!

I am thinking about pricing the set at $45, since its a larger mat and has so many accessories:) What do you all think?

yeah - patti's work (at sage dream design) will do that to people LOL. however i must agree with everyone else - your work is sooooooo different and so wonderful!!!!! your playmats inspiried ME to start crafting!!!!!!!!

that said - the little felt pieces are really cute - i can see you running with this in a whole new direction!!!!!

I will bring my Selena-made mat and accessories to the playdate!! I agree that the inspiration that is found when seeing other peoples work is wonderful. Since joining Amity's (just last month) I have been able to dig a bit deeper than I had in a few YEARS to create again.

Really, very beautiful!!! I always try to imagine what my children will say about the things I have crafted and swapped for them. I hope that they think it is a very cool thing!! ;)

You know Selena, when I first saw your site I was all gushing over it and thought you are the greatest because I had not seen this kind of playstuff before. You inspired me to make some miniature stuff. Patty of the sagedramdesigns inspired me to think big and make big stuff. And in the same way Sherrie inspires the neatness side of me and Katie made me give wet felting another try. I think each and every one is an artist and everybody just has their own skill. It is just not comparable, kwim? Like you can't really compare mass production hand dyed yarn like Manos del Uruguay to mama dyed yarn.

And I so totally love your mats and all the accessories that you made for the second one. You gave me more ideas to try out on my own :)
I wish I could justify buying one for dd, she isn't even 6 months old yet..
