My 5 yr old daughter screams, yells, pulls on me and clings to me, (litterally pulled some of my hair out once trying to hold on to me), whenever i try to leave the house w/out her, to do shopping, laundry, errands, whatever. I can hear her all the way to the truck. I dont know how to stop this. I have simply told her she is going with me just so i dont have to listen to, or, engage in arguing with her. I really need help with this, it is truly driving me buggy. She does not want to stay home with her sd. Has anybody else had this problem, and if so, any suggestions for eliminating this?! We try to explain to her that i will be right back, I always return. She follows me around the house like a lost puppy to make sure i dont go anywhere without her. I would think by the age of 5 she would have overcome this. :help:

Does she go to school? You may want to start a playgroup or a babysitting coop to get her use to being with other people. She seems so old to be having those problems. Is your hubby more strict than you are. sometimes it nice to always be with the more easy going parent so that may be the reason.
