I'm thinking that my DD would really enjoy the arts & crafts bend of Oak Meadow. She a very musical, artistic kid. I've looked it over & she'd be at the 1st grade level comfortably. Tell me what you think of it. Has it been challenging and interesting enough for your kids? Have you been unhappy with any parts of it?

Also does anyone have any good leads for finding it used? I've already checked and we can get all the reader books from our library & have the art supplies already. So we're really just looking for the other parts.

Hi I haven't used it, but I want to subscribe to this thread to hear more about it. We are using Enki K right now and it is fine. I am just feeling like I don't have the time or energy to really plan an Enki grade 1 and am thinking that something a bit more structured would be good. SO my question about Oak Meadow grade 1 is can it be started mid year?

Well I think even I can answer that. I don't think any curriculum has to be started at a certain time of the year. I mean, we don't follow a "school year calender" so we can start what ever, when ever and we just go until we've finished. Plus I'm expecting that OM1 will be fairly easy for my DD but I want her to start with it early enough to get into the flow & style of the program before moving forward to 2nd YK.

I'd love to hear what others who have used the program think.
