Just wondering. What subjects do you cover? Why did you choose to cover the subjects that you do? Why did you choose to not cover certain subjects?

Hmmm... This is what we Cover for my Second Grader:

Math (Daily)
Phonics (Daily)
Spelling (4X's Week)
Vocab. (1X's a Week)
English (Daily)
Silent Reading (Daily)
Handwriting (Daily)
Reading Comprehension (Daily)
World Geography (Daily)
Science (Daily)
Typing Practice (Once a Week)
Tae Kwon Do (3X's a Week)
Family Read Aloud time (Daily)

Our lessons are short and this what feels comfortable for us. I do both Silent reading and outloud reading because I feel DS needs it at this point. It may change in the future. I tried to cover all the subjects that I felt was necessary and pertinent to our lives. World Geography and learning about the global community is more important to me than learning American History right now.

I played around with the scheduling and this so far has worked the best for our family.

For my Kindergarten Sweetie we work on Phonics, Math and Handwriting daily. She usually joins in with her older DS for Geography and science.

This is our first year, but here is what I have the 4th grader doing.

Typing (daily)
Saxon Math (daily)
French (couple times a week, still looking for a really good curriculum)
Practice Book (reading, daily)
Reading (daily, at least one hour)
Writing (10 sentences minimum, daily, on some subject)
Grammar (daily)
Science (couple times a week)
Social Studies (couple times a week)
Maps (once a week)
At least 1-2 hours of outside time
Dictionary use and Vocabulary (1-2 times a week)
Spelling (were doing this daily, have totally slacked off)
Internet and research time (2-3 times a week, includes learning to use the library, reference materials, etc.)

I would do more, but we just don't have the time, to be honest. Maybe next year I'll figure out how to add in Latin/Greek and Music lessons.

She also takes classes on Wednesdays and Thursdays through the Charter School we use. These have included Archaeology, Writing, Museum Behind-the-Scenes, Missions, Intro to Music and others.
