A~ started walking a week ago. Oh my goodness..she has been crawling for 7 months, so it was so strange to me.( Her big sister crawled for 2 weeks, then walked.)

It is so cute seeing her toddle all over the house. She is so very proud.

And...every morning I put her on the potty to pee. About 2 days ago she pointed at the potty in the middle of the day and when I put her on it she peed. The last couple of days she peed on it a few times. Today. she was reading a book, and looked like she wanted to poo...so I asked her if she wanted to use the potty. She laughed, so I sat her on it and voila! Poo! She was so proud.
Me too.

I just had to share. It is so welcome when they grow up, but such a terrible shock at the same time.

Anna's most recent big thing is learning to go up and down the stairs. She can go up standing upright, but comes down backwards on her tummy.

As for potty, I thought she might like to try it since she's been telling us every time she uses a diaper for a few weeks. So, I took the potty out and explained it to her, put her on it a couple of times (with few results), and tried to convince her to use it. No such luck. Now when I ask her if she needs to use the potty, she runs away yelling, "NOOOOOO, Nana poopy PANTS" at the top of her lungs.

It's become such a "thing" that the kids actually call her Nana Poopy Pants now, when she's being stubborn.

Yay for Aidra! Walking is so freeing for little ones. Their whole world changes when they can see it from an upright position. :heart:

We've been getting ready to get the potty out for Nigel too. He detests diaper changes, and I honestly cannot see the two of us battling over dipes several times a day for the next year. :eyes:

aww..she is getting big already.

how have things been going? have you been able to add any more foods into your diet? is she eating foods? i remember you had such a difficult time and were on a very strict diet.

Why do they have to grow up so fast? *sniff*No pressure for A on the potty. Just goin' with the flow~lol!

Robin~poor Nigel(and mama...) hopefully he'll go for the potty thing and put himself out of his misery! Diaper change struggles are so unfun for lack of a better word.
