Well, this is just one of the reasons. Last night Chris was home and we had done just about everything we'd planned for the weekend. So we got out our school work and had a very productive couple of hours - doing what I'd planned to do today. Some of my children, especially Jacob, are night people and tend to be extra efficient with written schoolwork at night.

SO...today, when I am in panic mode because I'm realizing that we just have 4 days to get ready for my family coming from SC, I can get some wrapping and cooking and list making done. The children are playing together in a huge clubhouse they made under the hockey table. Later, we're going to make a water wheel from egg cartons and spools and rulers.

It's just so nice to be able to set our own schedule, let the children do their work when they're most productive, and then have some time to do what they want during traditional school hours.

I love it for the same reason. We set our own schedule. Sometimes we work at night too if we find we have extra time and want to do something different the next day. I agree, it is great!

I love it for that reason too! My DH goes in late to work this week, it is so nice to sleep in and not worry about getting to school on time.
